RCMB 2 HOLDS FIRST ORIENTATION WEBINAR ON LMC AND GM
Tuguegarao City. The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch No. 2 (RCMB2) hosted on July 8 its first virtual orientation seminar with labor and management representatives of Mrs. G Cakeshop Corporation, an unorganized company located in Cordon, Isabela.
The online seminar gave RCMB2 a platform to present the major programs and activities of the National Conciliation and Mediation Board and it has proven to be a highly effective, cost-efficient way of communicating to a targeted audience.
“Despite the absence of travel to and actual meeting at your company’s physical location, we are grateful to our Central Office for providing us this kind of avenue and we responded quickly by hosting this webinar to reach out to you as our stakeholders, said RCMB2 director Gil G. Caragayan during his welcome talk.
“Since webinars take place over the internet directly on our computers, let us make use of this technology as a time-efficient method of training and delivering knowledge. We cannot wait for the pandemic to stop before we act,” noted senior labor and employment officer Olisen L. Dizon.
For Mrs. G Cakeshop, the webinar had also been beneficial and feedbacks have been positive with the participants often providing comments such as “thanks for sharing this valuable information” and “the speakers were very knowledgeable.”
Relevant principles on Labor-Management Cooperation (LMC) and Grievance Machinery (GM) including Voluntary Arbitration programs were discussed. The technical personnel of the branch further engaged the participants through the use of interactive options such as Q&A and some icebreakers.
The branch congratulated the participants for their effort to gather together as an entire team and actively participated in the discussion of the advantages of both the LMC and GM programs. The activity was highlighted with the successful facilitation and institutionalization of the online creation of the company’s LMC committee and GM committee, respectively.
